Vision 2020
Grundlage der Ziele des DKVB ist das Programm VISION 2020 der Weltgesundheitsorganisation WHO.
VISION 2020 ist ein Programm, dass von der International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness IAPB etabliert worden ist und von WHO unterstützt wird.
Die Ziele sind in einem Global action plan festgelegt.
The Global Action Plan’s vision:
“A world in which nobody is needlessly visually impaired, where those with unavoidable vision loss can achieve their full potential and where there is universal access to comprehensive eye care services.”
